MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS

1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion was made by James Dillon and seconded by Beverly Potvin Kenniston. It was voted to approve the minutes of August 31, 2009.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Discussion Items
The Board of Assessors discussed the revaluation of the residential and commercial property. The principal assessor has been working on the revaluation for months now in order to complete all of the requirements that have been set by the Department of Revenue. The commercial business personal properties have been visited and these values have also been updated.
Jennifer Silvia from the Department of Revenue arrived at the assessors’ office to begin the re-certification on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. It is expected that this review will take a month to complete.
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 4:30 P.M. in the Starbard Building.
